Country Strategies
On a daily basis we identify the apparent status/strategy of each country. If a country has an effective Reproduction Number of greater than 1.5 we classify the country as Struggling for Control. If a country has a very low number of infected individuals, it is classified as a Elimination/Suppression strategy. If a country has a very high number of infected individuals, then it is not clear exactly what path the country is pursuing, so we classify the strategy as Unknown. The rest of the countries, which is the large majority, have a medium number of infected individuals and moderate value of R. These countries appear to be in a holding pattern, and classify these countries as Holding.Status
